This rare restored Danish Modern dining set is made from old growth dark fiery teak, not the newer farmed teak that became common in later years. That’s why it has such rich and dramatic grain, more like rosewood than typical teak. Gorgeous. Also remarkable is how beautifully sculpted the entire set is, from the gentle curve of the table skirt to the spectacular curved backs of the chairs. Actually, every part of the chairs exhibits a harmonious sculpted detail. The set has been restored to bring it back to its original beauty; table top is refinished and the five chairs have all new upholstery, with new foam and top-grain buttery cream leather. The table has not one but two 21.75” leaves (see photos), so it can almost double in size, from a roomy everyday 4-seater to a place for 10 people to gather at the holidays. Trust us, because we know: a mid-century set of this caliber does not come along everyday.
