This elegant little pair of watercolor lithos, "Old Manhattan" and "N.Y.City Tug 1940's", were framed and signed by the artist himself, with his address and phone number for good measure. They are lovely. The mastery is such that they almost look like photographs that have been tinted subtly, but they are all painted, with watercolor no less, not generally known for its precision. The burgundy matting enhances the images; the wooden gilt and black frames show some wear but are still attractive. A great set.
