I Like Mike's Mid-Century Modern
Sold Out
Absolutely exquisite example of Hollywood Regency at its unapologetic best! These lamps, made by Lambert Mfg., Inc., are of superior quality and craftsmanship and incredibly stunning down to the last detail. They're very heavy, highly polished solid brass with just the right touch of Brutalist Evens-type sculpted accents. The pleated organza type shades are just the coolest and match so perfectly! And those tassels are the extra touch that elevates these lamps to a category all by themselves. Even the 3-way switches are unique -- the black collar around the socket is pulled down once for low, twice for medium, and three times for high. There are a few marks on the black lacquered wood bases, but definitely nothing that detracts. The brass is pretty much mint and the shades are in phenomenally fine condition considering the style and their age. There are a couple very small tears in the outer layer of fabric but again, nothing that detracts. The shades are slightly different shades of lavender, which can be seen in the pics. Doesn't really matter once they're placed a few feet away from each other, and as seen, when the lamps are lit, the difference in the shades of the shades all but disappears. This set is a real find and you won't see these lamps coming down the pike again anytime soon!
42.25" H x 9" diameter; shade is 19" H x 15" diameter
