This large and impressive red hanging lamp is in the style of hanging oil lamps that once lit up our indoor spaces. The bottom section would have been the reservoir for the oil, with the wick coming to where you see the light bulb now. So, this is vintage lamp is harkening back to even still more vintage lamps!
The condition is excellent. The cranberry glass is without chips or cracks, the ornate metal is clean. It has a 3-way switch, for two levels of light. Currently, it is meant to be hard-wired into a fixture, but it could be converted to a swag lamp for a nominal fee.
