The sailboat is an irresistible motif, with that jaunty silhouette and the promise of the open water. Certainly they thought so in the mid-20th century—examples abound. This one is dated 1982 by an artist who’s signature, alas, we simply cannot make out. The piece is in very good condition, with a metal mast and brass sails, all perched in a solid stone base with interesting coloration. A quality hand-made piece for your desk or shelf.
