Laurel’s desk lamps were some of the finest examples of iconic mid-century design and this lamp is definitely up there with their most noteworthy. Extremely elegant, sturdy, serviceable and in very fine condition, showing very little evidence of its true age. Both cones pivot and hold their positions perfectly. The chrome base, which we hand polished, looks like liquid metal. There is a tiny ding on the left cone, and a scuff here and there, barely worth mentioning because overall this piece cuts like a razor through all of the ‘retro’ noise. Completely re-wired. The perforated pin holes in the cones make this lamp as stunning lit up at night as it is sitting golden pretty in the day.
