These totally cool mid-century lamps flirt with kitsch yet stay firmly in the realm of tasteful. The glazed ceramic obelisk bodies are quite striking--they are an attractive taupe with a pop of black and burgundy that is the elegant line of a 1950's modern dancer (or pretty beatnik girl?) throwing roses from a basket. There are no chips or cracks to the lamps anywhere, and at over 5 pounds each, these lamps are substantial. The vintage shades are also in remarkably good condition, with a weave mesh to echo our heroine's basket in the same blond color as her hair. The shades have an inner diffuser layer that softens the light. They are newly rewired and ready to be the best conversation starter in your home.
Overall: 28" H x 5.25" W (at base); Shade is 12" H x 9" Diameter; Lamp body is 18" H x 3" W at top, 5.25" W at bottom.
