This guy fostered some of the coolest MCM original paintings back in the day. It's said that he worked on the "I Love Lucy" show and he also placed many a painting in many a stars' homes. He employed talented but 'not yet heard of' artists to execute his creations. These are extremely rare and each one is truly one of a kind. This one is signed "Carlo" on the front and at one time (gone now) had a tag on the reverse that read:
"About Our Paintings-Artcraft of Hollywood is fortunate to have under exclusive contract 43 talented young artists who paint by special order only the beautiful originals our art directors create. Each and every artist has his own technique and style which therefore prohibits the finding of another painting exactly such as this.
It is our aim to turn art "yearners" into art owners by offering sensibly priced Originals by American Artists.
We hope you feel the same emotion when looking at this beautiful painting as the artist felt when he was painting it. Judge its value by how much feeling you get out of it and how strong the feeling registers."
This particular piece is fine condition with some age-related wear. The painting itself is very fine with a scratch to the upper right sky (see pic) and a small and light water mark on the right side, just inside the frame. Neither detracts whatsoever from this beauty as a whole. It's giant, in your face nostalgia! Enjoy!
