There is nothing quite like a mid-century Danish Modern desk, the style revolution that launched a design shift we are still experiencing today. Almost impossibly slight and minimal compared to the solid, heavy desks that had dominated until this mid-century moment, the beautifully clean lines combined with the warm teak of this desk exemplify the style.
And, it is a highly functional style despite being so compact. What's more, this desk is a rare variation on the classic; the expanding leaves are in the front and back, which allow for more work surface when needed, but also allow this desk to double as a small table. That's quite an advantage in a small city apartment!
Everything about this desk has been restored. The draws and leaf mechanisms work as smoothly as if new, and the beautiful wood has been hand sanded and protected with many hand rubbled coats of nourishing teak oil. This desk is ready to serve for another 60+ years.
