In the 1980s, there was renewed interest in all things Art Deco, so much so that the  aesthetic of the era earned its own name, Neo Deco. With its pink circled pin-up girl demurely showing you her evening gown-clad tush, this cute piece is what you might call Neo Deco Kitsch. Made in Japan by Sarsparilla Deco Designs in 1984, it was no doubt meticulously modeled on a similar version from the 1920s or 30s. They were known for the quality of their replicas, and this one remains in very good condition, with only a bit of pink surface loss in one place (pictured). The quart movement clock keeps good time, and certainly the blond means business.
