Imagine this vase filled with bright red and yellow and pink tulips, sitting on a glossy red credenza with rounded edges, and a Nagel poster behind it…and you’ll see just how 1980s it really is. Probably more Neo Deco than Memphis Design, it is very 1980s in either case; the “West Germany” marking on the bottom indicates it was made prior to 1989, some time before that big wall came down (because border walls have shown to be prone to failure ultimately...but we digress).
Big and impressive, with a high gleam to the finish, it is a nice piece, and you are under no contractual obligation to fill it with bright tulips, though it is worth considering.
