This Strausbourg Manor clock has both a traditional and a modern look—it exists stylishly at the crossroads of the two. The solid oak case gives it away as a 1980s piece, but the truth is that oak is a worthy wood in any decade. Though not the most common octagon, it is in fact 8-sided, and it is a very well made octagon at that. The burgundy brown face with the silver circle is a great look, and those hands are just downright fabulous. A battery quartz Japanese movement makes this an easy wall clock to own; the battery also powers the swinging pendulum, a mesmerizing feature that will make your home look like a grown-up lives there.
