Opening day for The Dodgers, circa 1946, In Brooklyn! This photo is about 10 years before they moved to L.A., and about a year before Jackie Robinson joined the club. Lots of history is ahead of them, but on this day, they just have a game to play.
We’re not sure how many photographic prints were made of this image, but we haven’t found another. Professionally framed and matted in 1992, it is in very good condition. Glass, wood frame.
