This uber-cool light-up map of the US is designed to bring a little light into a room, but not too much.

Back in the day, when television was new and owning one was the mark of a prosperous home, lights like this were quaintly called TV Lamps. When the family was gathered around their favorite show every evening, too much light in the room made it hard to enjoy Your Show of Shows or Cheyenne

This light-up etched acrylic lamp is nearly perfect after all these years. It has only one small chip that doesn't even show up unless it is lit up.

Base is bakelite. Originall plug and in-line switch both work very well.

9" L x 3" D (base) x 8" H .

Circa 1947.
