This fully restored gorgeous piece of clever engineering can supersize even the tiniest studio apartment! Or maybe you need your dining room to do double duty as your home office. Whatever the case, this supremely built mid century marvel is a one of a kind and there’s nothing contemporary that compares. High end blonde oak desk by day, with three functional drawers, instantly pulls out into a full sized dining table. The pen drawer is actually the front of the table, which is a roll top design and disappears inside the back of the desk when not in use. There is a false back in the kneehole and behind the three drawers which creates the space for the table to roll up when not in use. The good news is that at 6’1”, I have no problem sitting comfortably at the desk either height or depth wise. It was manufactured circa 1955.
Measurements of the desk are 42 1/2" wide x 30 1/2” high x 21 1/2" deep. Drawers are 10 1/2” deep x 9 3/4” wide x 5 1/4” high.
Pullout table is 60" long x 39 1/2" wide x 29” high, with 26” of clearance for the legs. (This is excluding desk top depth) Easily seats 5 adults— or 2 more if they sit closer together.
