Professionally framed print of a gorgeous charcoal drawing featuring that classic subject, service men cavorting at a bar with women. What is unusual, however, is the mix of the people. Black women, white men, maybe even a black man…pretty progressive by American standards of 1943. You know what that says to us? This bar had to be in France. Artist signature says Lavanco.
The aluminum frame shows signs of wear; the print has some damage, showing signs of being folded.
