This somewhat large and amazing anemometer is just super cool, any way you look at it. "New old stock" is what we call this sort of thing--vintage but never used. Just look at the pristine face, with nary a scratch, and the whole industrial chic vibe of this non-digital instrument for measuring wind. Substantial and serious, it is also gorgeous to look at. The perfect gift for that gadget lover in your life who perhaps also is interested in the weather (like your dad, but we don't want to peddle in cliches...)
